Terms of Service
Last updated: February 22, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Callout service operated by Callout (“we”, “us”, or “our”), including the withcallout.com website and the embeddable widget (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Service Description
Callout is a free, embeddable visual feedback widget that captures annotated screenshots, console errors, device details, and session replay links, and delivers them as issues to your configured project management tool (GitHub, Linear, or Jira).
2. Account & Access
No account is required to use the widget. Project configuration is managed through the Callout dashboard. You are responsible for keeping your project credentials (such as personal access tokens) secure. Do not share credentials with unauthorized parties.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
- Submit content that is malicious, abusive, or violates third-party rights
- Use the Service to collect sensitive personal data (e.g. passwords, payment information) without appropriate safeguards
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service beyond what is permitted by law
4. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by Callout and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of all content you submit through the Service (bug reports, screenshots, descriptions).
5. Data & Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Bug report data is processed to deliver reports to your configured issue tracker and is not stored on our servers beyond the time needed for delivery.
6. Availability & Support
We strive to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications that temporarily affect availability. The Service is provided on an “as is” basis.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Callout shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the Service.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time by removing the widget from your website. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service at our discretion if we believe you have violated these Terms, with or without notice.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
